Car history: |
2) I've had this car for 2-1/2 years it was purchased as a project car. It is now 95% finished. This car is a real head turner. The color is a metallic pearl blue. The engine is a very strong LT-1 350 out of a 72 vette. It has 330 +hp with a new cam& lifters. New fuel pump and rebuilt carb. The transmission is a M-22 Rock-crusher Munice 4-speed, very rare only 80 produced for the 68 vette. The trans shifts like new, very tight with no slop between shifts. The car has new power disc brakes. Heater core and hoses have been replaced. Has new windshield and back glass. It has new carpet front & back. New speedo and tach cable with a new HEI tach drive distributor. I replaced the radio which was trashed with a new corvette am/fm-cass radio with MP-3 player option. New sony kickpanel speakers. The car runs very nicely and does'nt pull when you use the brakes. The tires and the rally wheels are like new. Installed new headlight door canisters. The hood had cracks in it so I repaired and reinforced the hood. One slight problem is that the hood does'nt line up perfectly. Vacuum system needs hose kit and regulator valves for the headlights, and wiper door to work. Seats are ok but not the greatest. This a car that would be fun to drive to your local classic car meet, trust me it will get alot of attention. I say that from experience. 16,437 miles. $5,000 with no reserve. February 13, 2012. 1) 4-Speed Manual Muncie M-22, Side Pipe Exhaust, Appears that the factory A/C has been removed, True mileage unknown, CLEAN TITLE. RUNS AND DRIVES. The engine code is V0306CKS which GM's books shows it goes back to a 1972 Camaro Z28 350 (LT-1) 4-Bolt Main 4-Speed Transmission. The block casting number 3970014 also verifies the block as a 70-73 LA built Camaro. It has an old Edelbrock high rise manifold. The engine alone is coveted! The transmission by casting number is a Muncie M22 "Rock crusher" with main case casting number 3925660 and wide "ribbed" extension housing casting. The frame appears to be straight all the way back and is in great condition. The frame is solid and no cancer rust can be seen any where. All of the cluster gauges on the dash actually still work except for the analog clock. It has the old corvette rally wheel hubs installed. The body looks and feels solid and the doors open and close perfectly. The hinges on the doors are still solid. The engine does not knock, tick, and does not smoke. 14,613 miles from the odometer. Colors from the owner. Built date is L18. May 27, 2009. |
